In 2000, fresh out of Supinfocom (Rubika) with diploma in hand, Julien headed to Paris and took his first steps into 3D animation. A versatile, multi-talented profile, he explored design, motion design, storyboarding, and 3D modeling across a wide range of projects — from video games and TV branding to commercials. These experiences quickly gave him a broad, global vision, enabling him to step into the role of 1st Assistant Director and gain the perspective needed to grasp the full conception of a film from start to finish.

One opportunity led to another, and his growing interest in longer formats brought him into contact with several series producers. Early on, he was entrusted as a director with the graphic development of ambitious projects such as Chaplin & Co (Mediawan Kids & Family) in 2009.

Over time, he refined his storytelling skills while deepening his expertise in animation pipelines and processes. He contributed to both visual and narrative development on numerous productions, notably at Futurikon, and later at Ubisoft where he directed several episodes of Rabbids Invasion. In parallel, storyboarding became an increasingly central part of his work: in 2014, he joined the ZAG team for the first season of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, and subsequently worked as a storyboard artist or supervisor with studios such as Gaumont, Xilam, Blue Spirit, TeamTO, and Cyber Group.

These years have fueled his ever-bubbling imagination. As early as 2007, he created Rocket Jo, produced by Millimages and broadcast on France TV. He is currently continuing to write two original works blending retro-futuristic and dystopian worlds.
